Basic Ezine Designing Tips.

Choosing the right Ezine name is important. The Ezine name should have some relevance to the ezine topic. As some directories list an ezine in alphabetical order it is advisable to start with a letter "early" in the alphabet, like A instead of S.

Content is the king and providing valuable contents will not only encourage subscribers to read and stay subscribed to your newsletters, it will also help you to build your reputation and gain trust.

Focus your ezine on a subject in which you have lots of knowledge or experience. Although, you can publish other people's articles in your newsletter, your ezine should have some original content, like your own articles, tips and tricks, etc.

Keep your titles and paragraphs short. If possible keep your titles between five to six words and your paragraphs to three sentences. Make sure that you don't have more than 60 characters in a line and that you leave plenty of white space between each paragraph.

Create a schedule and stick to it. Ezine can be published on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Whatever frequency you use, be consistent and don't skip. Subscribers like to read an ezine that is published regularly and on time. Personally I prefer bi-weekly newsletters.

Format - Text Vs Html: As not every email program is equipped to read html emails, it is often a good idea to provide the subscribers with the opportunity to choose their preferred option. Alternatively, to accommodate all your subscribers, you can publish your ezine in text format only, like a normal text email, and include a link to an online html version of your newsletter.

The size of your ezine really depends on you and the type of content and quality of your ezine. Some subscribers prefer short ezines and others, long ezines. However keep in mind that if your ezine is too long, some service providers may convert it into a file attachment. If you ezine is really long, consider splitting it into parts, like Part 1 and Part 2.

Tips to help you when you run out of ideas.

  • Write "how to" articles: Writing "how to" articles is one of the most popular and proven methods of writing ezine articles. For example: How to create a traffic explosion? How to attract new customers? How to build your ezine list?

  • Suggesting "tips" and "ways": This is another popular method. You can almost create unlimited number of articles using this method. Example: 5 ways to make money from an ezine, 7 ezine content ideas, OR 10 cool ways to attract customers to your site, 10 keys to copy that sells.

  • Conduct a survey: Surveying your ezine subscribers for a particular product or service will not only will create interest among your subscribers, but will also give you a fair idea about how many people actually read your newsletters.

  • Get other people to review your product: You can publish reviews and/or testimonials of satisfied customers underlining the benefits of products or services you offer. This can create interest in your prospective customers.

  • Review other people's product: If you market affiliate products then you can publish your reviews, briefly stating the pro's and con's of these affiliate products.

  • Interviewing an expert: By interviewing experts in your field and publishing them, your ezine can gain huge popularity, as subscribers to your newsletters will value the quality content you publish.

Top Reasons To Have An Ezine Or A Newsletter

An ezine is a newsletter that is available via email or online. It is also known as an Email Magazine, Online Publication or Electronic Newsletter.

Companies often use ezines to keep in touch with their customers, inform them of new products, special offers, etc. ezines can be published completely free of charge and you can also (if you have enough subscribers) sell advertising space in your ezine.

People normally subscribe to your ezine by sending a blank email to your subscribe email address or by filling out a form on your web site.

Top Reasons To Have An Ezine Or A Newsletter.

It seems that these days just about everyone and even their dogs publish a newsletter or ezine. Have you ever wondered why Ezine Articles have become one of the most effective marketing techniques on the Web?

The reason is quite simple. People very rarely go online looking for something to buy. They go online looking for information - free information. They want to be educated, entertained or simply be informed. And the simplest way you can achieve this is to publish your own Newsletters.

At the bottom of your Article is your 4 or 5 line Resource Box. That's what turns your Article into one of the most powerful marketing techniques on the Web. Whether you simply want to stay in touch with friends and family, or if you want to bring content and promotions to your contacts, an ezine or newsletter can be an excellent way to accomplish this.

Below are the "Top Reasons To Have An Ezine Or A Newsletter". It is in no way comprehensive. However, it is our hope that this list helps you get started with your own Ezine or Newsletter.

  • Free Publicity: As explained above, the resource box at the bottom of your article gives you free publicity. You can sell your products, services etc. by providing a link to your website.

  • Establish your expertise and Build brand/rapport: Publishing free articles on a specific topic can establish your expertise in that field. Also by providing good content under your company's brand name, you can build credibility and trust with your subscribers.

  • Build traffic: Subscribers clicking on the links provided in the resource box will automatically bring traffic to your website. Also, if you decide to submit your work to ezine directories and article databases, other webmasters and ezine publishers might publish it. This will dramatically improve the number of visitors to your site.

  • Improve your link popularity: If other webmasters decide to use your articles, the resource box at the bottom of your articles will automatically improve your link popularity as it contains the link to your website or products.

  • Make Money: If you manage to build good subscriber base, you can earn money by providing ads in your ezine letters. Alternatively, you can promote your own products or services.

  • Conduct a survey and get feedbacks: Surveying your readers can help you to improve your products or services.

  • Inform your readers: You can inform your readers about new products or services that you have launched.

  • Cost effective: It costs you almost nothing, yet you can reach out to thousands of subscribers.

Search Engine Marketing Lab - Advanced SEO strategies

Did you know that more than 40% of web users only look at the first page of their search results (the top 10 websites listed), and only 8% bother looking past the top 30.

So if you want to drive the maximum amount of traffic to your website, you need to know the secrets to getting your site in the top 10 rankings in the search results.

Most website owners think it's too hard to land a top position in the search engines, and are convinced that "If you're not a programming whiz, you've got no chance". So they wind up thinking that they need to bring in affiliates to promote their business and drive traffic to their websites for them. In fact, many website owners are overly dependent on affiliate marketing, giving up as much as 50% of their sales revenue.

One of the biggest reasons why Internet entrepreneurs often feel intimidated is because Search engines are constantly readjusting the way they rank websites. So it extremely common that you can be Rank 1 in Google on a day and Rank 4 in Google on any other day.

But scoring a top ranking, and keeping it is a lot easier than you may think. If you know the right combination of search engine optimization (SEO) strategies you can get your website into the top 10 search results.

Derek Gehl, of Internet Marketing Centre, claims it's still possible to attract 1,000s of qualified buyers to your website every month ( i.e. free traffic ) using the organic search engines.

He along with SEO pioneer Nicole Ephgrave claims to have cracked the formula to getting websites into the top 5 search results and keeping them there. His site holds a top 5 position for the insanely competitive keywords "Internet marketing" and "Internet Marketing Tips" for 3+ years.

In fact in his brand new Site "Search Engine Marketing Lab" Derek is giving access to the exact same SEO strategies he pays over $13,750 per month to learn.

As members of Search Engine Marketing Lab, subscribers will receive:

  • SEO Bootcamp for Beginners - a series of Five hands on webinars in which Derek and his experts break SEO down into easy to understand, easy to implement basics.

  • Search Marketing Lab Report - a 7 to 10 page monthly newsletter packed with the latest advanced SEO strategies.

  • Membership to SEO Discussion Forum - where your customers and subscribers can ask Derek and his team of experts unlimited questions about their SEO campaigns.

So website owners who are crying out for information on search engine optimization at least now have some where to turn to.
